About the Project

The story of UniBoard begins with a shared frustration. It’s a feeling anyone who spends their day creating, coding, or analyzing in front of a screen knows well: the constant, low-level friction of fighting your tools. It’s the creeping wrist ache after a long session. It’s the endless, inefficient shuffle between keyboard and mouse that breaks your focus and flow.

Introducing UniBoard

Uniboard isn't just an iteration; it's a reimagining of computer interaction, built on core principles:

Uncompromising Ergonomics:
- Designed from the ground up for natural hand, wrist, and shoulder alignment. The split, adjustable design minimizes strain, potentially reducing the risk factors associated with Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI). Studies on ergonomic keyboards suggest significant improvements in comfort and reduction in reported pain for heavy computer users.
Seamless Efficiency:
- Keep your hands on the home row. Integrated thumb clusters eliminate the constant, time-wasting reach for a separate mouse. We estimate that this alone can boost task efficiency by up to 15% by reducing hand travel and context switching.
Intelligent AI Integration:
- A dedicated, customizable AI key acts as your gateway to enhanced productivity. Seamlessly interact with major AI platforms (like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) directly from your keyboard. Generate text, summarize articles, debug code, translate languages, automate tasks – all with minimal workflow disruption. Of course, you are free to re map this key to anything else.
